This Sunday morning there is the first ever home game for the newly formed youth side.
The youth section this season has just one team, an under 13/14 side but next season expanding to receive the lads moving up from the juniors. On Sunday they entertain Saffron Walden so all the hard work put in by the boys, coaches, (Pete and Charles)and guest coaches (Mark Jury and Dave Quinny) will be put to a real test. The boys would love to see senior players on the side lines and I’m sure any advice given on how they can improve their game will be welcome! There should be hot drinks and rolls on sale also so please if possible come and support them.

Kick off has been pencilled in for 11am but if you can get there early Jim before the start would you mind singing the Suffolk County anthem (‘Oh Suffolk silly Suffolk’). I have already got those 3 chaps from Broadlands RFC. To lead The Essex anthem, (‘don’t dis me motor babes- you know what I mean’). Will you require a microphone when singing it?
