Players,

we have enquired about a physio being available on Tuesday while training is on for injured players to come to the club and have a qualified proffesional work on those injury problems.

While the club maybe able to cover some costs, injured players would be expected to cover £10 per half hour treatment session.

Is this something ourselves as a club of players feel would be benificial to us? I'd like to know your feedback please.

My personal opinion is £10 for half hour is far cheaper than any other physio i've been to in the last few years and although i hope not to be carrying any injuries Rugby is not a tickling contest and I know during the season i'll probably need some work at some point.

The coaching staff plus myself would love to hear your thoughts.

Raff

Sounds like a good idea to me. We've looked at it before, but never quite got off the ground - the idea of the club subsidising, but the guys contributing is a very good one.

If the physio is about tonight, I'll have half an hour on my hamstring - the very same hamstring that powered this natural centre over the try line so many times in the recent 7's games!

Sounds like a good idea to me, and a fair compromise for both club and player to contribute as both sides will see the benifit, players potencially back from injury quicker and players not having to pay quite as as much. Just for reference i paid £30 for 30 mins physio 2 weeks ago on my thigh! so £10 seems like a good price!

Just as an update re this........We have had a Physio av to players over the last 2 seasons, as many players have used this. The only stipulation was the booking was done via me for billing purposes. Before this gets of the ground, I dont think it will be a problem with the club helping out with the costs but i do have to run it by the main committee as I discussed with Andy.
