Great Race NightThanks to Rachael and others for organising a very pleasant race night on the 16th.
Unfortunately the attendance was about as poor as it can get, which I think is a shame to be honest.
Not too sure about the politics and personalities on this stuff, but it is a pity that the one thing we are about - which is rugby - will suffer (and is) if the club is not supported in all areas.
One observation - making something like this FREE to members I feel devalues it is some way. It is too easy to say "oh crap, let's stay in or go to the pub" when you have not paid anything out. Perhaps £5 ticket but with five free bets might ensure people who have said yes will actually turn up.
Come on HRFC; let's support the club in all of what they do, where we can.
Again, well done Rach and the lovely Jayne who were the best robbers of my money at one of these things I have ever seen. Thank heavens my horse came in on the last race, or it would have been a very lean night in the wallet department.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE A FEW MORE PLAYERS AT THE EVENT
I DONT THINK THEY REALISE THE CLUB NEEDS THESE EVENTS AND SUPPORT TO KEEP IT UP AND RUNNING AS MUCH AS IT NEEDS THEM PLAYING, PERHAPS MOST OF THE PLAYERS WILL ATTEND THE IRISH NIGHT AND THE DINNER DANCE WE ARE PLANNING
IF THE SOCIAL EVENTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED THERE WILL END UP BEING NO RUGBY CLUB , A COUPLE OF BEERS AFTER THE GAME JUST DOES NOT PAY THE BILLS!!
