Some of you may remember that a group of 6 or so went up to Norwich to support the team against Lakenham Hewitt.
This was a day that was marked by a number of great moments
* Pappy being squared up to by the referee when he called him Bart Simpson's dad - ie a Homer. (Even Nod predicted "Oh, we are in their 22, about time he gave a penalty against us" as the whistle went for a penalty, to LH)
* The young girl in a short skirt and tiny top where Jimbo walked up and asked "Boyfriend playing?" and she said "Yes" "First time here?" and she said "Yes, how did you know" "Intuition" came the reply. She was pleased to see us though.
* Where we asked at a pub where the ground was (having consumed 4 pints) to then travel for another few miles, only to find out the ground was 500 yards from the pub.
* Where, in the songs after, we managed to empty their club completely and they left 30 of us all alone in their club. (I have never known it)
Well, January 27th 2007 is this day again, and we would like to try to get up another party to go up and see if we can give them even more grief than last year.
The only criteria for the day is it will be a long one and a liquid one.
If there are enough, we might be able to get a coach (mini or otherwise) up for the trip.
Replies to this post would give a bit of an indication as to numbers. All welcome.
This is a week before the 6 nations starts so should be a warm up for the game.

Jim what a great idea, last year was so appreciated and amusing (other than the result) that your support and everyone elses would be fantastic.

Yeah, it was funny last year. To an extent, even the result was, because when every decision went the other way, when people could do red card offences and not even get binned, and when they continue to deliberately infringe on the line and not get carded and penalty tried against, to have got as close as we did was quite amazing.
I seem to remember the last 13 minutes lasted about 90 seconds as well.
Anyway, as they say "the proof of the pudding ...." so I await people to have a chat on line or up at the club as to how many we can get up there and show LH how to support a club. Well, how to have a good drink at least.
