Broadlands away!!!

Hi Guys,

just wanted to say as a Haverhill supporter how proud i was of your effort away in Gt. Yarmouth. We did put points on them early, but as we were lacking about 3st per man in the scrum, things were always gonna be harder 2nd half. apart from a few missed tackles and their scrum dominance, I thought you played really well.

David Golding had an outstanding game and Simon Lester showed his experience when it mattered.

It was a narrow defeat with a lot of players injured, take heart from this and learn from at as next year we will all be older, wiser and stronger to take this mob on, home and away.

Be proud! You were very unlucky.

TRAINING THURSDAY!!!

No worries at all.  I wish I could of played and was down to play until friday evening but my knee was very painful still from the saturday before. I've been to the Dr's now and have damaged my cruciate ligament in my knee, so glad i made the desicion not to play! hopefully it's just a strain and i can train again in 3/4 weeks. If i see no improvement i'll have to go back fro an MRI scan. Hopefully boys i'll be back befor the end of the season, but i'm quite fond of having healthy knees so won't be crazilly rushing into things.

If you play like you did for the first half against Broadlands, and stop YM's quick back row, you should give these guys a beating on Sat.  See you there.

Last Saturday was the first time that I have played for the 1's this season, and, may I say that it was a completely different experience to last season.

We stuck together as a team and there was no bitching at each other when we went behind, which is something that had put myself, and a few others, off wanting to play for the 1's in the past.

It was a pleasure to play with all of you Very Happy , and thanx to Raffs for coming over and for his encouragement to myself and all of us when we needed it.

Good luck to all those selected for the game on Saturday, I will be there to offer my support , even if I'm not selected (can't train, so I don't expect to be).
The Daddy
